Meghan Devine, PsyD, BCBA
Dr. Devine specializes in working with parents and youth.
I provide parent training to equip caregivers with practical strategies, creating a supportive home environment. I also help children build confidence, express themselves, and navigate life’s challenges.
My passion for working with parents began as an ABA therapist in New York City, where I saw firsthand how thoughtful, evidence-based support can transform families’ daily lives. Raising a neurodiverse child—whether gifted, twice-exceptional, or navigating ADHD, autism, or anxiety—comes with unique challenges. I’m here to help parents understand their child’s brain & needs, build effective strategies, and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
In therapy, I take a child-centered, practical approach, using CBT as my foundation while integrating techniques from ABA, DBT, ACT, and other evidence-based methods. My goal is to help children develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the skills they need to thrive. I also consider the broader factors affecting a child’s well-being, including family dynamics, sleep, and school challenges.
Comprehensive Assessments
Understanding a child’s strengths and challenges is key to helping them thrive. I offer comprehensive evaluations to assess learning differences, ADHD, autism, giftedness, and emotional or behavioral concerns. My approach goes beyond just a diagnosis—I focus on the ‘why’ behind difficulties and provide clear, practical recommendations for home, school, and daily life.
Each assessment is tailored to the individual, using gold-standard measures and a strengths-based perspective. With advanced training in cross-battery assessment and specific learning disability identification, I synthesize a full picture of cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning to ensure accurate, meaningful results. My goal is to empower families with the knowledge and tools they need to support their child’s growth.
School Consultations & Teacher Trainings
In addition to working directly with families, I provide school consultations to support educators in understanding and meeting the needs of neurodiverse students. Whether collaborating with teachers, special education teams, or administrators, I offer practical, evidence-based strategies to improve classroom engagement, behavior, and learning outcomes.
I also lead teacher in-service trainings on topics such as behavior analysis, neurodiversity, executive functioning, and inclusive classroom practices. By equipping educators with the tools to support all learners, we can create more effective and supportive school environments.
